The new Leggerissima road bike is currently the lightest series racing bike: the frame weighs 750 g, the total weight of the road bike with the proven SCHMOLKE carbon components is only 5.4 kg and is fully suitable for racing with a rider weight of up to 100 kg. In addition, sufficient rigidity is achieved with the new carbon spokes. Here too, stable driving characteristics take priority over lightweight.
The frame geometry has also been revised: Unlike the Aerrow series, the rear stay on the Leggerissima are set higher, which increases the rigidity of the frame. In order to maintain comfort, round seat posts are again used on the new racing bike. Compared to the aero models on the market, you can actually feel the comfort advantage when driving.
Next Generation Prepreg Wheelset
The 37 mm deep rims of the 980 g light disk tubless ready wheels are also a completely new development in hand-made prepreg construction. By reducing the rim depth from 45 to 37 mm, we were able to reduce the rim weight to 295 g without losing wheel stiffness.
Gold Edition:
The Leggerissima with gold branding is coming onto the market just in time for the company’s 33rd anniversary in 2025. Together with the midnight blue frame color, a subtle and high-quality brand appearance is created.
